Dr. John R. Burr is the sole proprietor of Arcanum Veterinary Services; an organization with a rich history in the Arcanum area. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Burr's interest are in medicine, surgery, reproduction, performance, behavior, nutrition...well anything related to veterinary medicine. He has a lovely wife and two children. Currently, his family shares the house with one dog.
Ms. Mary Ann Maurer is the Front Office Administrator. She has been at the clinic for 12 years. Previous work experience includes working at a pediatricians' office. She knows what it is like when patients don't talk! Ms. Maurer has children and grandchildren. It is Mary Ann's genuine warm, friendly smile that will greet you at Arcanum Veterinary Service.
Ms. Faith Biesner is a 2014 graduate of Miami-Jacobs Veterinary Technician Program. She has been a member of the Arcanum team since graduating. Faith loves large and small animal medicine and daily encourages Dr. Burr to take up farm calls. She shares her home with four dogs, 3 Great Danes and a Lab mix.
Our clinic was re-established in 2017 and offers a wide range of medical services and surgeries for dogs and cats. We’re located at 501 N. Main St.
Our patients are primarily cats and dogs, with a few rabbits, and birds in the mix. Dr. Burr also offers a wide range of services from nutrition counseling to working dog performance. Please visit our Services page to learn more about the services we provide.
